About the team

SLATE started as a running list of collaborators Calvin worked with on shoots and film projects. It's grown into a shared database of actors, directors, crew, stylists, and post-production talent — all vetted, all connected to paid work opportunities. The goal: keep it free and organic while it grows, then open it up as a selective, trusted resource for the industry.

CALVIN KERTZMAN - CO-FOUNDER / CEO

A Los Angeles and New York-based photographer and filmmaker, currently pursuing graduate work in film and advertising at ArtCenter College of Design.

My work spans freelance editorial photography and narrative filmmaking, and I built SLATE out of the same instinct that drives both: connecting the right people to tell the right story. What started as a personal list of collaborators for my own shoots grew into a shared resource for the wider film and photo community.

A Thousand Oaks, California film composer and post-production audio engineer specializing in cinematic music, sound design, dialogue editing, and audio post for film, television, games, and media. Whether composing an emotional orchestral score or refining dialogue and sound design, my goal is always the same: create amazing audio that serves the story.

I work with clients throughout Southern California and remotely around the world, bringing creativity, technical precision, and a collaborative mindset to every project.
